finished!
Finished reading this book. Took about a week.
Checked it on Amazon.com saying one of the bestsellers.
Easy to follow, easy to read. Enjoyed reading it.
The story goes like...
2 thirty- year-old girls from Indiana (I think) who now live in NYC.
They are best friends from elementary school.
One is getting married within 2 months. But the other slept with her best friend's fiance.
So which will she choose? Best friend or the guy?
Mo was eager to grab the book while I was reading, so it is terribly wrinkled.
Holly wanted to scratch off the shiny ring on the coverpage. (he loves rocks.)
OK. One is done. What should I read next???

Reading phase

I felt thirst for reading.
I picked up "対岸の彼女" by 角田光代 at Tsutaya on Sunday.
Started reading it on Mon., and couldn't put it down.
Read it through within 3 hrs.
Now in the middle of reading "Night" by Elie Wiesel.
As I was reading it, just realized I had read it before when I was in school.
Sometimes one needs nurturing for one's brain and mind, I suppose....
BTW, these are Holly's favorites:

He loves reading, too.

turning point
These books have enlightened my life.
The first encounter with the name, Peter F. Drucker was in "My Biography" section of Nikkei Newspaper about 5 years ago. At that time, he was still alive. I don't remember the articles in details, though his name was stuck in my head.
Then, about 3 years ago, I came across with his name again when I took a venture business seminar at the town community hall. The seminar changed my way of thinking. It opened my eyes that I need to participate in the economy in order to grow and make contribution. Make myself useful in a society.
And, last year, the book "moshi-dora" became a million seller. When it became a big hit, I had hesitation to purchase it. It took a while to make a decision to get it in my hand. It was last November I purchased it at Tsutaya. And it took about another month to finally start reading it. However, alas, it only took a night to read it through.
It is so well written. It naturally lead me to the book, Management.
Now, I am trying to apply the method and philosophy into my life, family, and work.
It will be a long winding road to take, but the road has to be taken right now in order to live well.
Because the world is at crisis now, we have to have integrity in our heart.
