quiet Sat.

At last, my HFMD is gone. (My hands and feet aren't looking any good yet. But no more itch nor ache.)
Despite of the weather outside due to the typhoon nearby, quiet time is passing in my house.

Panda is working (translating) in front of his PC.
I am preping some materials for lessons.
Kids are at school.

Being healthy and having a quiet time, what a blessed moment.
I just appreciate this moment.

HFMD pt2

I'm in agony right now.
I haven't slept tonight at all.

I have some rash on my palms, back of my hands, back of my feet.
I think I have gotten HFMD (手足口病).face07

On Sunday, after Father's day softball games, I started getting a fever and a severe headache.
The fever went up around 39.0, and Panda took me to the hospital in the evening.

The blood test came out normal, so the doctor told us that I had a cold and some heat exhaustion.

On Monday, fever went back to normal. I slept almost all day. Then in the evening, some rash started showing up.
First it was on the back of my feet. Just a tiny itchy spot. Then gradually it spreaded all over my feet and my hands. It itchys as hell. Couldn't slept a second.

Adults usually don't get HFMD, I hear. But if one is over exhausted and has a weakened immune system
, one can get infected.

Someone help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

striped & striped

This pic was taken about a week ago.

After school, Holly was drenched with sweat. So I asked him to get changed.
He smoothly went to get his clothes and came back into the living room like the above picture.

Striped T and Striped Pants.

I said to him, "Uh, honey, don't you think they look a bit weird together, the T-shirt and the pants? Go look at yourself in the mirror."

He went and threw a quick look at himself in the mirror and said, "Good."

"Are you sure? Striped and striped??? "

Now he is confindent and said "YES."

No more I could say to him. So I just let him look like that all the evening......
Am I too old fashioned or is he really into fashion????

never ending

So how many times did we go to hospitals this week after all?
Well, let's see..............

Holly on Sun. Wed. and Sat (which is TODAY, literally NOW).
Mo on Tues.
Manateemay herself on Thurs.

Total numbers of the facilites we went: 3
Total numbers of the visits: 5

After taking kids to the hospitals repeatedly over 3 weeks, I was over-exhausted.
I caught a cold this week. With a sore throat and headache, I went to a clinic nearby on Thursday.
It was packed with sick people (well, of course including me.) I had to wait for my turn in my car.

The doctor gave me some IV drip. She told me that she had it for herself in the early morning. She was exhausted, too. I felt so sorry for her.

On Friday, I felt fine and normal. So, I thought my sickness will be the last thing of all the sickness going on and on in my family.

Guess what? I was totally WRONG.

Holly woke up with a fever, 37,8 this morning. Panda took Holly to the hospital.
Today is our 浜下れ day. Panda & I were scheduled to row the boats for the races.
And after the races, we were to have a party in our neighbor's garage.

Holly was so waiting for this event. He even made us get some fireworks so that he can do it with his friends.
He cried and cried and cried. He insisted he wants to go to the event.
He was so looking forward to today.

I am so sorry, but I cannot help you here, son.

When will we get healthier???

HFMD

It seems Mo got HFMD (hand-foot-and-mouth disease: 手足口病).
Her fever stayed around 37.5 all day, and after school, some rash started showing up on her toes, back of her feet, fingers, around her mouth.

I am visiting the hospital twice a week in this month for Mo and Holly.
I am getting very exhausted and powerless these days.

Just hope the weather get better, so we get healthier.

no prockey, no life!

Without prockey, I cannot do my lessons.

To write out lesson plans, sentence bars, etc.... I need prockey.
In order to make color coordination, I need colors as well. Black, red and blue won't be enough!

I am not so good with learning by ears.
I do better with reading and writng to learn.

So more I write, more I learn. More I read, more I remember...

Here comes another new week!
Work, work, work! Fun, fun, fun!

way too belated

3 days ago, I received a basket of flowers. What for???
Well, it is for WAY TOO BELATED Mothers' day. (It is rather close to Fathers' day now.)

Panda FINALLY picked it up for me after my asking him over and over.
(Holly was asking him many times as well)

By chance, I picked some yellow flowers on that same day.

Holly was so excited to see many flowers on our living room.

Good-bye eggs, good-bye milk

Over a month, Mo had hives repeatedly.
It always came out right after she ate.

After a blood test, Mo is diagnosed with allergy to eggs and milk.
Some docs don't believe in food allergy. Others do.

I, myself has been suffering from atopic eczema over 30 years.
So I feel like saying "been there, done that, bought a T-shirt."

But my symptom has nothing to do with food allergy. Yes, it is related to food. When I eat junk food, sweets, it gets worse. When I lack sleep and I'm under some metal pressure, it also gets worse.
So mine is combination of everything.

Mo's case is completely different. She does get symptom right after she has eggs and milk.
She even got rash after eating bacon which included some eggs (As I read the back of the package later....).

Trying to ban eggs and milk from my fridge and home for now.
Raw milk and eggs could be hazardous to Mo.

Will I be able to find a way to provide safe home for my family??? I will. We will find a way........ We must.

arroser

I had lunch with a friend at arroser.

My friend was supposed to leave the island in spring, however somehow, she ended up staying here one more year for sure.
The island power??? Just a coincidence?? We will never figure out.

Sometimes we cannot control our life no matter how we try or plan...
We need to let it flow.... flow like waves flow like winds....

I had a lovely time.
Thanks, my friend. Let's do it again, soon!

this coming Sunday

Tonight was the last practice for volleyball. The match will be held on this coming Sunday.
It feels so good to move the muscles that haven't used for almost 2 years....
Though, night by night my arms and legs are getting more tired and tired.
So more practice, worse performance I do....

Just get some rest tonight and tomorrow.
Hopefully I do my best on Sunday!!!!
