Spring break

Holly's nursery school is closed for 2 days.
It will be too hectic to spend 2 days with him and Mo, so we asked some friends to come over to play this morning.
3 girls, 2 boys, a baby and some moms.
Moms chatted over some sweets, coffee, and tea. Kids put out all the toys and played.
We had so much fun. Kids didn't want to leave!

Time passed so quick with friends.
Thanks for coming over, and let's get together again soon!!!

Trial lesson

Today, I have a trial lesson! I am so excited. Getting the room ready for it.
Even Mo is trying to help (or what??? She just wants to tear and chew the books....).

Hope we will have a good lesson.

If anybody is interested in learning English, please feel free to contact me!
Now enrolling new students! Lessons start in May.
Thank you!

Futon Bag

Starting this April, Mo will go to nursery school.
It was so sudden that the decision was made, thus we didn't have much time to prepare.
With in a couple of weeks, I guess I did well. So far so good.
Her towels, basket, clothes, tooth brush set (Mo has no teeth yet!), and so on...

One last thing missing was her Futon Bag.
For 2 good hours, I struggled with my sewing machine and iron last night.
I made her bag!
I miscalculated the size, so it is a bit tight. But no one can tell it.

One more week till school starts!

beauty in pajamas

Mo is very energetic and active these days.
Now she can crawl so well and quick.
Once she sets her mind on a certain object (such as my wallet, her sock, Holly's drawing, OA tap, and so on...), she will never give up till she surely gets it in her hands (mouth, actually).

Today, her target was my pajamas left on the floor. Yes, it was my bad that I left them there.
Mo was so happy to get them and kept chewing them for a quite long time.
Then, she put the pants on her head!!!

As if she was saying, "Don't I look better than you with them, Mommy?"

blue balloons

After lunch, we took a walk to "La Fonte," the new gelato cafe.
It was their grand opening day!

Holly ordered double sized gelato in a cup, chocolate and strawberry.
My hubby, Panda had a cup of coffee. I had Cappuccino. On the foam of Cappuccino, there was a cute heart! (Shoot! I didn't take a picture of it!!!)

Holly couldn't finish his cup. So we were able to taste the gelato, too. It was marvelous.

It was packed with people. Everybody had a big smile on each face.
All the kids there were given blue balloons.
We got two balloons. One for Holly, and one for Mo.

It was a good fine Sunday!

Neat boy

It was 8:30 at night.
Out of blue, Holly claimed "I'm going to clean our room!" He picked a cleaning cloth and started wiping the living room floor. But, the cloth was so drenched and daddy had to dry the floor with a dried cloth.

Holly was humming and cleaning. He wiped the living room floor and went on to do the same in his room, the kitchen, and the hallway. Then he started cleaning doors and walls.

"We do cleaning at nursery school, too! I'm so good at it! All the rooms are now so cleaned, aren't they?"
He smiled and said proudly.
He says he will clean the rooms tonight again.....

Farewell

Today, two of my students had their last lesson because they're moving out of Amami at the end of this month.
For two years, we learned and spent time together.
They are always cheerful and willing to learn. With myself being pregnant, there were some difficult time for both ends.
Though we managed to stick together.

I am so grateful and honoured that I was their teacher.
Hope their lives in the new places will be filled with joy and happiness.

I will save my tears for the time when I will meet them again.
Thank you K & M.

konpeito

This morning, I took Holly to a dermatologist in Naze. He's got a BIG wart (いぼ) on his right ring finger.
After his treatment, we went to Tokyo-Do.

Holly wanted to get some star shaped colorful sugar candy from the candy stocker.
He put 100 yen coin in the slot and turned the handle around, then voila! He got a cupful of sugar candy!
The cup doesn't come with a lid. So, I put the opened cup in my bag and told him to eat it in the car.
At the parking lot, I handed the cup to Holly so that I can get my wallet from my bag to pay for the parking fee.
It was only 5m to our car.

Holly was very careful to carry the cup. Yes, he was, indeed. But, he tripped over and spread out all the candy on the asphalt ground!

He was so in shock. He cried and cried in the car.

She's trying her best.

Now Mo can stand up by herself!
She's learning to move her muscles so quickly.

She crawls to the sofa and grabs the hem and put all the effort to stand herself up.
She is so overwhelmed by her achievement and screams out!

The dangerous part is that she even tries to walk.
She cannot control her body well enough to walk yet.
So, she spins around and falls down, then hits her back of the head so hard.

She is a challenger! I have to keep my eyes on her so closely.

Mo & Pooh

Mo, my daughter is 8 months old.
Now she can sit on her own and she just started crawling.

With her smile, she is loved by our neighbors so much.
We appreciate deeply their love and kindness.

Yesterday, she got this Winne the Pooh! Almost same size as Mo.
Our neighbor saw Mo on the street and said "My daughter has a stuffed animal, Pooh, just same size as the baby. Let me get it from my house!" Then she ran to her house to get the Pooh and gave it to Mo.
Her daughter graduated from high school this month, and now it's time to give away some stuffed animals, according to our neighbor.

Mo is a lucky one to receive this Pooh! We will take a good care of him.
Thank you!

Addicted to Ultramen

My son, Holly is a big fan of Ultramen.
While he eats, sleeps, takes a bath and so on, he cannot stop talking about them (even in his dream).

Folks and friends know his addiction. So somehow Ultramen figures find their ways to end up in Holly's toy box.
I believe he has more than 20 or 30 Ultramen in there.

I am so fed up with them.... Even seeing the colors, red, silver, and blue makes me dizzy.
The wall in our living room is invaded by Ultramen as well.

When will I get my white wall back???
