ももぞう英語教室 -ALC KC -

One of my good friends is visiting Amami from abroad.
This morning, she stopped by at my place and broght some sweets for us (Last weekend was Easter, so she brought some Easter eggs!!)

We went to the picnic cafe❄NEIGEE❄for lunch.
I had a chicken burger with basil sauce & cheese, and she had a chicken burger with sweet chili sauce.
They were soooooooo good.
(It was very windy today, and I couldn't take my hands off from food. So I couldn't take any good picture Next time, I will have a good pic of burgers!!!)

After Neigee, we went to La Fonte for gelato.
By the time we finish eating gelato, it started raining.

We were lucky didn't get rained while eating.
Hope I will have another chance to see her during her stay here.

We went to Ayamaru Park this morning.
Made some rice balls and put some left over food into a lunch box from the fridge (nothing fancy, but looks special when they are in a lunch box).




Met Holly's friends from nursery school. Holly and Daddy Panda played with them.

The first day of Golden week, not so many people were there yet.
We had so much fun.

Ultramen are sleeping in the cushion futon.
Holly wanted to sleep with them in our futon. But it is quite dangerous to put them in it with us....
(Once I stepped on one of them in the dark. It hurt so bad!)

So I generously offered my cushions as their bed.
Holly was very happy to sleep with them.

Today's lunch: Everything bagels, blueberry bagles, cole slaw, and coffee. (One of the everything bagle is burnt! But edible.)
No cream cheese in the refridge. I made some cattage cheesish thing from milk.

Everything tasted fine

Now I'm so full. Getting back to work!!!   

Some goods Panda brought back from Microsoft Headquarter, Seattle.
Microsofts souvenirs: a hat, a cap, and bibs.
The bibs are so humongous!!!



I compared one to a bib from Nishimatsuya.




Mo tried them on. It looks like a cloak!

Geek in training!!! (hard to read, but that's what it says...)  

Yesterday morning, I baked some banana & almond muffins.
I prefer mini cup to regular size one.

Piles and piles of things on my To DO list, but I needed to take a break before I even look at it.
Sometimes cooking can be my stress relief.
(Not all the time...)

Now trying to start crossing out the items on that list!!!

  

Yesterday afternoon, Panda came back to Amami safely.
He stayed in Seattle for 5 days and Tokyo for 3 days.
Holly was too happy to see his daddy. He couldn't help crying. He hugged daddy for long time and cried without sound.

My parents went back to their home in the mainland yesterday, too.
Now my 10 month-old nephew (their grandson) in Fukuoka is hospitalised because he got RS virus.
He is planned to stay hospitalized for 10 days. Hope he will get better asap.

My parents may have to fly to Fukuoka pretty soon... Must be very busy being grandparents, I imagine.




Last night, we celebrated Panda's safe trip back here with some cake from Kyora Umi Kobo.
It was delicious!!!! Holly even licked whipped cream on the nyron covering.
Yum, yum!  

Our internet connection was out of service for about 24 hours due to switching from ADSL to optical networking.
Now we are connected again!
Seems much smoother and quicker!!! (even my typing seems much quicker.... just my imagination)

We have been waiting for this service for long time.
Now I don't have to wait for 10 secs till the pages change on the web.

Thanks for the modern technology!!! (took forever to reach us......)


  

No sick kids, prepared enough for lessons, and sunny.
It's been another fine day for me today. (getting tons of help from grandparents also making my day great, of course!)

I even had a time to look around in our garden.
Found a flower blooming on the strawberry plant.

Tomorrow, kids will take a field trip.
Mom gotta make lunch box!

Hope it will be another fine day!!  

Kids went to nursery school.
Things are slow and quiet today.
And, it is such a fine day today.

So grandpa, grandma, and I went to La Fonte for a break.
I had brown sugar and salt gelato for the first time.
Tasted soooo delicious.

Now ready to pick up the kids.

  

Today I went to 太陽画房 to get my car done like the picture!
The sticker they made came out so much better than I expected.

Now I will be driving through the towns with them.
Hooray!  

Mo is sick again.
She threw up twice today
Having a fever around 38.2.
Got to see the doc tomorrow.......  

Panda left for his trip this morning.
As his car drove away, Holly couldn't help shedding some tears.
He sat at the entrance crying for quite some time.

In the afternoon, my parents arrived from the mainland.
They brought so much food! I didn't have to cook tonight.
Holly was so happy to see them. He is now sleeping with them.

No plan for rainy Sunday yet ......  

Just realized how much I have been tensed for a long time.
Trying to prove something which actually means not much....

Signs are everywhere to tell me so, but how narrow minded I have been... could not catch'em good enough.

It is time to stop and take a deep breath for a while. Look up to see the blue sky for a change.

I have been running and running without a direction.
Without a map, where would it lead me? Maybe I was going round and round.

Accept what I am now. That will be a start.

Life is good as it is!


  

My hubby, Panda will be going to go to Seattle for a week.

It's his annual business trip. He will accompany some people from IT companies for"Japan Venture Program".

It is a part of Microsoft IT Venture Support Program designed for Japanese IT venture companies to experience Microsoft technologies firsthand and to promote mutual interaction.

He will be writing a report about this program.

He leaves Amami tomorrow morning. Now packing his suitcase.
Tomorrow, my parents will be in Amami.

Stayed up late last night.....
I am sooooo sleepy now. Duh! What do I expect?
Day by day, year by year, I won't get any younger.........

Mo is home today. She is feverish but eats well, drinks well, and plays around a lot.

Another unlucky thing... My tooth chipped while chewing gum today.
I have a minor toothache now. made an appointment with a dentist for tomorrow.

Feels need a nap and a break.

Staying up late and trying to finish some work.
Going to see doc and taking care of sick baby (well, she was doing fine, but still we worry about her...) , I didn't have much chance to do my work during day time.

Some postcards to send out and some lesson plans to be prepared....

It's been hectic this week.... Some unexpected calls lead to some extra work....
Nothing goes as planned....
Well, still in the middle of the week!

Mo's fever is still high. She will be staying home tomorrow (it's already today!)
Poor baby...

  

Since yesterday afternoon, Mo has been being feverish.
38.4 degrees C yesterday, 37.8 decrees C today.

She also has a few tiny bumps (not even a rash) on her hand and arm, so I took her to a doc this morning.
Doc said she doesn't have chicken pox, and she just has a cold....

She is doing just fine. Not so much appetite, a little bit slow moves....

So sick baby home today....
When can she go back to school? Hopefully tomorrow or day after tomorrow.  

Holly is finally getting interested in letters and numbers.
He looks at the calendar and asks us what date it is every day.
He also knows Sat. is in blue and Sun. is in red (according to our calendar...) and Masked rider and Go kai jar come on Sundays.
He wants to cross out the days when they are over.

The pic is Holly's writing. I believe they are 6s and 7s....... maybe some 1s, too.  

In January, we planted Sharinbai seeds. This morning,I found them coming out and growing. There are 2 baby saplings by the block wall. Tiny trees with only 2 leaves each. Not much sun light reaches that area.... Hope they will be strong enough to survive.




The seeds we planted 6 years ago grew so well and now they are blooming beautifully.

Finally spring has come!!!
